Cruxly reads the content you ask it to and turns it into a daily brief. This policy explains what we access, why, how we protect it, and the control you have. Plain language, no surprises.
Cruxly ("Cruxly", "we", "us") is a personal intelligence-briefing app. It reads the newsletters, podcasts and publications you choose to follow and synthesises them into one daily brief, including where your sources agree and disagree. This policy covers the Cruxly app and the website at getcruxly.com.
The email address and basic profile you use to create your account, so we can sign you in and send you your brief.
The topics, sources and categories you set up, so we know what to read for you.
If you choose to connect a Google account, Cruxly requests a single, read-only Gmail permission (gmail.readonly). We use it to read newsletter-type emails so we can summarise and organise them for you.
Basic, standard technical data (device type, app version, and error logs) to keep the app working and secure.
We do not use your content to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your data. Ever.
Cruxly's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
We never sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers ("sub-processors") purely to run Cruxly, each bound to protect your data and use it only on our instructions:
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Cruxly and its users.
We keep your account and settings for as long as your account is active. Source content we read (including newsletter emails) is processed to build your brief and kept only as long as needed to produce and show it to you, after which it is deleted or de-identified. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and revoke any inbox access, other than the minimum we are legally required to keep.
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and the principle of least privilege. Your inbox access token is stored securely and is used only by our backend to fetch your newsletters.
Cruxly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@getcruxly.com.
