Terms of Service

Last updated 3 August 2026

These terms govern your use of the Cruxly app and website. By using Cruxly, you agree to them.

1. The service

Cruxly reads the sources you choose and produces a synthesised daily brief, including a read on where those sources agree and disagree. Cruxly is an aid to help you keep up, not a substitute for reading a source in full or for professional advice.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accounts and sources you connect, and for keeping your login secure. You must have the right to access any inbox or content you connect to Cruxly.

3. Acceptable use

4. Fair use and processing limits

Each plan includes limits on how many topics, sources and newsletters Cruxly processes, and a reasonable daily processing allowance per user, so the service stays fast, reliable and sustainable for everyone. Cruxly is intended for ordinary personal use, not automated, bulk or excessive use. On unusually heavy days you may reach your daily allowance, in which case the deepest AI synthesis pauses until your next daily drop; your newsletters and sources are still received and are never lost. We may adjust these limits over time to keep the service healthy, and we will apply them reasonably.

5. Third-party content

Cruxly summarises and links to content owned by third parties (newsletters, podcasts, publications). That content belongs to its respective owners, and your use of it is subject to their terms. Cruxly's summaries are provided for your personal use to help you decide what to read or listen to in full.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and are handled under Apple's terms.

7. Disclaimers

Cruxly is provided "as is". Summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any brief is complete or accurate. You rely on Cruxly's output at your own discretion.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cruxly is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on a brief. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using Cruxly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the service and its users.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
